Prim Breasts: Trials and Tribulations

Perhaps tribulations is bit extreme...

I love to shop. I love my clothes. I love the wide range of fashion and design that exists in Second Life. I get to appear in ways I could never afford in First Life.

But I have a unique shape, not so unique among a certain few of us, but enough that my choice of clothing is severely limited. I've been blessed with having designers for the curvaceous lady, in particular Mullemaus Oh of Nanami, AndromedaStJohn Aeon of Amazon Design and most of all Puschi Shan of P.S. Design. While they make wonderful attire in general, it is their tops that allow me to venture beyond them and to other dresses and gowns from other designers.

From Sn@oks, a small sample of what I can not wear

But alas, even their designs can only go so far. There have been many times where my eyes linger on a beautiful gown, only to leave it behind as I do not have the proper bodice to compliment the skirt. I can't just wear any top, it needs to be specially designed.

Is this my curse?

I feel I have done fairly well in piecing together tops and skirts to create a unique look. I know this is done regularly by other fashion aware avatars. It certainly is a challenge and I do enjoy the mix and match. At times I can't help but jump for glee when a piece comes together perfectly.

If you've read this far, I suppose the question is why am I posting this?

It was during a conversation with my good friend, Melissa, that, she too, has always wanted to see an expansion beyond our clothing limits. I'm sure many of us who are of bustier proportions have dreamed of being able to pick and choose from our more beloved clothing stores.

Melissa has done a wonderful job of using textures to create her matching tops. She's able to match color better than I could, whereas I try to match material which have so far limited me to blacks, reds and whites. We each do what we can to get by. smiley

Melissa has taken up cause to bring attention to us. She's posted a rough draft and wants to get the word out that there are those of us who are willing to pay money for your styles. We may lack the time and/or talent to create our own textures, but we have the Linden dollars and you have the skills we are looking for. Perhaps even offer on special request, not needing to create a special texture for all items.

If you happen to be a Second Life clothier and see this, I implore you to help us. If you don't make clothes but have a friend who does, direct them to this post. Let them know that we're in need of help. We're willing to work with you, perhaps direct you on where to begin.

We want your clothes.

And if you happen to be a user of prim breasts, please join Melissa's group Prim Breast Users. You may find it under Melissa Yeuxdoux or my group listings, joining is free.

Become part of a group that shares your desire. Help us spread the word. smiley
